SHARE Foundation Impact Plan Specialist VISTA

SHARE Foundation is a nonprofit organization with the mission to identify, develop, and foster programs and services that further the health and well-being of the people of our community and surrounding areas. The Intervention VISTA will work closely with two collaborating agencies within SHARE Foundation, The Violence Intervention Plan and eXtreme Youth Programs. The Violence Intervention Plan (VIP) provides a community network of supports, opportunities, and activities focused on specific, well-defined outcomes and best practice strategies. https://sharefoundation.com/our-agencies/grants-vip/who-we-are.html. eXtreme Youth Programs focus the energy and creativity of young people who work together to create real solutions to build a safe and drug-free community. https://sharefoundation.com/our-agencies/extreme-youth-programs/. These agencies focus on impacting those in the community with the most need, including (but not limited to) low-income residents, minorities, grandparents as parents, felons, and at-risk youth and families. The VISTA will help reduce poverty in Union County by assisting with prevention strategies for drug-free youth and families by raising awareness, developing/maintaining partnerships, coordinating projects and events, resource mapping and distribution, and prevention programming.
