Clare Housing Equity, Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact

Clare Housing envisions an AIDS-free world built on a foundation of equitable access to housing and health care. The mission at Clare Housing is "to provide a continuum of affordable and supportive housing options that create healing communities and optimize the health of people living with HIV/AIDS." Clare Housing is home to 250 persons living with HIV (and their partners and families) each year. All of our housing units are affordable and all come with key supportive services. We operate four large apartment buildings which are staffed 24/7 so that residents receive the key supportive services they need to thrive. We are versed in trauma-informed services and we strive to create housing models and programming that reflects our deep value in gender equity and racial equity issues. This position will assist the Director of Supportive Housing in managing the newly designed waiting list and intake process, which is a multiple-pronged process including interfacing with the Coordinated Entry program (for individuals coming out of homelessness) and also assessing eligibility and program "match" for interested applicants. This position will help increase our efficiency and effectiveness in filling open shifts in our housing portfolio. This project is part of the Community Corps VISTA Program, operated by Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact. The program strives to eliminate poverty through campus-community partnerships by placing full-time capacity building support in nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions. ***Please also send cover letter and resume to supervisor. Interviews will occur on a rolling basis. Preference given to candidates who apply early.***
