Member Duties : The Associate will work to increase awareness of program availability
-Coordinate distribution sites, and recruit volunteers
-Provide coloring pages/activity pages explaining the importance of good nutrition and the positive impact on overall health
-Contact and schedule speakers from the health and nutrition fields to hold presentations and/or create social media content or newspaper stories about nutrition
-Organize games around the themes of health and nutrition
-Teach volunteers safe food practices by watching instructional videos
Offer training programs and provide educational material provided through government offices
-Advertise in print and social media the opportunity to become involved and the personal benefits of volunteering as well as the benefits to the community
Their efforts will positively impact the number of families in our community that struggle to provide healthy meals for themselves with the intention of decreasing food insecurities.
