Member Duties : The Summer Associate will help increase the food pantry capacity by expanding our food pantry.
-Identify, establish, and implement logistical structure to ensure the successful daily operation of a campus pantry, while increasing access to available community resources.
-Review the current food pantry structure and assess areas of growth.
-Create a marketing plan for obtaining more donations from staff and faculty.
Propose strategies to reaching more students who could positively benefit from the food pantry.
-Establish and prepare healthy recipes and cooking demonstrations for college students.
-Create a guide for students to utilize during the semester that includes healthy recipes using the items in the food pantry.
-Provide resources for students to students that encourage healthy eating.
Host a virtual cooking demonstration during the semester that promotes the food pantry and allows students to utilize some of the items in their own home.
