2020-2021 Marketing & Digital Media VISTA

Facing Forward to End Homelessness (Facing Forward) ends the cycle of homelessness for families and individuals by offering hope, help and housing. Facing Forward provides housing and a full array of services, including case management, connection to healthcare, referrals for substance use treatment, mental health issues, education, and job training. Our client-led approach helps people experiencing homelessness in Chicago access the tools they need to advocate for themselves and reclaim their lives. Facing Forward is seeking a dynamic, driven, and creative individual to join our Development Department’s communications efforts. Alongside those with an expressed interest in marketing, social media, and equity, candidates with experience--or an eye for--photography, video, and graphic design are strongly encouraged to apply. If you have a passion for ethical storytelling, creating engaging long- and short-form content, and helping families and individuals in Chicago move beyond homelessness, apply to join our team today! This position is a part of the Housing Action AmeriCorps Network, which is an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive customized training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Learn more about the program at Housing Action’s website.
