Hopkins Public Schools- Schools & Community Connector VISTA

Hopkins Vision 2031 is a vision of innovation created with the core belief that every student deserves a brilliant future. The VISTA member’s project will be to create the foundation of a Schools and Community Connects system of support for Hopkins Public Schools scholars and families. This includes: accessing youth and family voice for the development of the system, creating a virtual platform, procuring community resources and engaging volunteers to be a part of the system, and marketing Schools and Community Connections.

Member Duties : Develop a training and procedural manual for providers (volunteers, tutors, etc.) Develop an access guide for Hopkins Public Schools scholars, staff, and families Develop a thorough communication and marketing plan for engaging a wide range of community stakeholders Work with Technology to develop a Schools and Community Connector virtual platform Develop and deliver assessment that measures the school community (scholars, staff, and parent/caregiver) needs Collaborate with cultural liaisons on strategies to engage the diverse communities that represent Hopkins Public Schools Create infrastructure for both long-term community partners and also new Hopkins community members to engage with Hopkins Public Schools School and district-wide marketing of the Schools and Community Connections platform Research needs and capacity for SCIP Summer 2022 pilot program
