Urban BoatBuilders- Program Development and Evaluation VISTA
Urban Boatbuilders has identified that building a formal pipeline to employment is a critical next step for the organization to take. Working closely with employers, trades programs, and educational institutions will be instrumental in providing opportunities for youth once they graduate from the apprenticeship programs. This role aligns with the organization’s strategic goal of placing 85% of graduating youth into one of these opportunities by 2022. Additionally, examining current evaluation methods, ensuring they are consistent across the organization, and being used effectively will be essential to ensure the organization’s continued success. Our VISTA will create more opportunities for youth to earn, learn and lead in the community and ultimately reduce poverty in the Twin Cities area.
