Urban BoatBuilders- Development and Communications VISTA

The development and communications VISTA will add capacity to Urban Boatbuilders by focusing on key fundraising activities, including grant writing support, individual fundraising, event support, and sponsorship acquisition. Additionally, they will oversee and manage communication efforts, including, but not limited to, social media, newsletter writing, and collateral design. Finally, they will work with others at Urban Boatbuilders to attend events on Urban Boatbuilders’ behalf, and communicate upcoming events to key stakeholders. Annually, there are various projects being completed to ultimately help serve youth, break the generational poverty cycle that many of them are in, and provide opportunities for success. Communicating the mission of the organization effectively and assisting in raising money to support programs is key to success.
