Junior Achievement- Marketing & Communications VISTA

Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest’s (JA) mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Our K-12 programs empower students to be ready for the real world by showing them how to earn and manage money, excel in their careers, and apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Junior Achievement programs align to three pathways: Financial Literacy, Work and Career Readiness, and Entrepreneurship. Through a continuum of progressive learning experiences, students acquire competencies needed to reach their full potential. Junior Achievement’s unique program model leverages thousands of volunteers who deliver hands-on lessons to youth. While we work with students of all backgrounds, Junior Achievement is particularly committed to young people with the greatest need for enhanced learning opportunities, including youth of color and students from low-income backgrounds. JA serves students, educators, and partner schools throughout MN, ND, and western WI. Annually we reach more than 100,000 students through 24 programs. The Marketing & Communications VISTA will help deepen JA’s ties and messaging across our service region. By building our marketing, branding, and messaging capacity, Junior Achievement will establish itself as a regional thought leader in experiential education, youth entrepreneurship, and career readiness. While Junior Achievement would love for this VISTA position to be based in the Twin Cities, we are open to making this position remote-based throughout our geographical area (MN, ND, and western WI).
