ShareCorps- Crossroads Fresh Market- Summer Associate

The Free Store and Fresh Market provides gently used clothing, household items, and fresh produce to individuals and families in hospitable atmosphere that affirms the self-worth of each individual. We have organized separate shopping areas for children's clothing, toys, and other items as well as an area for household items, women's and men's clothing. Additionally we have produce market where our old chapel used to be where people can shop for free, fresh, and healthy foods for their families. Our Fresh Market provides free produce and grocery items to the community and is another way we live out our vision of healthy homes and hearts for all people.

Member Duties : VISTA team will assist with the coordination of the Fresh Markets, including our newly opened location on the northeastern side of Canton. Members will assist with the distribution of the fresh produce, coordination of volunteers at the markets, and outreach to community. Since this is a new area we are serving, we need energetic individuals to help spearhead a outreach campaign. We are also building our first greenhouse this summer and will need your help getting it setup and ready for planting. Join us for a rewarding summer of service!
