CMRS- Housing Stability VISTA

Alliance VISTAs provide indirect support and serve as capacity builders in their communities, creating, strengthening, and connecting resources and best practices to better serve youth, especially young people of color and young people living in poverty, with the ultimate goal of supporting more youth to graduate and closing the opportunity and achievement gaps in Minnesota. The Host Site, Community Mediation & Restorative Services, Inc. (CMRS) has been helping individuals move from conflict to resolution and from harm to healing through respectful and confidential mediation and restorative justice processes since 1983. We believe many of our community’s most pressing issues--housing instability, juvenile crime, family/workplace/neighborhood discord -- stem from an unresolved dispute or offense. With the generous support of trained volunteer mediators and facilitators, CMRS is taking concrete action to improve civil discourse and dispute resolution in our local communities.
