PAL Resource Development VISTA

The goal of this project is to develop/expand a diversified funding stream for the Memphis Shelby Police Activities League (PAL). Additional funding will be used to provide fitness and recreational programs for participants ages 5-18 who live in impoverished areas by using sport activities as a method to prevent crime, build character, and reduce the stresses that poverty has on a young person’s life. In partnership with the Memphis Police, the PAL program will provide positive activities as alternatives and encounters with law enforcement to build trust with the community members.
