Family Care Support VISTA

Aligned with AmeriCorps VISTA’s mission of working to alleviate poverty by providing long-term solutions, Communities In Schools of Memphis (CIS of Memphis) is pursing to use this project to serve and have a direct impact on adults with school-aged children who live in the city of Memphis and Shelby County and of whom lack sufficient economic, social, and/or educational resources. In response to alarming statistics and to the COVID-19 pandemic, CIS of Memphis seeks to secure a VISTA to serve in collaboration with the Memphis Care Coordination Manager, connecting families to Memphis and Shelby County community partners that will address high needs (ex: housing, education, employment, legal aid, mental health, transportation, furniture, clothing, etc.) and shape social and emotional development.
