Financial Stability Volunteer Coordinator (UWWF)
 
 
 
United Way of West Florida offers free tax assistance programs for individuals and families with an annual income of $66,000 or less. Since 2019, 4645 returns were completed, saving taxpayers $999,139 in preparation fees and contributing to a $10,957,213 impact in our community! We also provide free virtual financial coaching for areas covering but not limited to: assets, banking, credit, debt, taxes & financial goals. Virtual financial coaching can also provide referral services for: legal help with bankruptcy, student loans & determining SNAP or food stamps. (Due to COVID-19, all tax preparation will be done virtually for the 2021 tax season.)

Member Duties : The Financial Stability Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will work in conjunction with the Financial Stability Manager to redevelop the VITA Volunteer Prog. Conduct VITA site visits and analyzing the needs of the sites on a daily basis. Identify best practices and make recommendations for improved program effectiveness. Redevelop the volunteer application process. Develop trainings & workshops for volunteers. The Financial Stability Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will work in conjunction with the Financial Stability Manager to build Community Financial Coaching Program. Develop community relationships, research quality frameworks for financial stability, research funding opportunities, build database of partner resources, assist with grant writing, increase awareness of/and access to effective financial coaching, work with community partners, develop Financial Coaching scheduling platform, service mapping: identifying geographical service gaps.
