Wood County Program and Marketing Assistant VISTA
 
 
 
The Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board is responsible for the planning, funding and monitoring of mental health and addiction treatment and prevention services in the county. The board contracts with behavioral health providers and engages in community projects designed to provide education, prevention, treatment and recovery services throughout the county based on the needs of community members. Our AmeriCorps VISTA member will be able to participate in networking events, trainings and other professional development activities while promoting community well-being.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will build community partnerships and attend outreach and other events to educate and inform stakeholders about the work of the Board and its contacted agencies. The AmeriCorps VISTA member will attend and help lead local coalitions and carry out the goals and missions of local coalitions. In addition, the AmeriCorps VISTA member will conduct research on funding opportunities and apply for funding as appropriate. There will be an opportunity for additional training and attendance at networking events as well.
