Community Planning and Program Researcher

The Fairfield County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board is a state mandated government agency in Fairfield County, Ohio. The ADAMH Board is responsible for the planning, funding, and monitoring of mental health, addiction, and recovery services. The Fairfield County ADAMH Board is the bedrock of Fairfield County in providing funding for behavioral health services. We work with a dozen local providers to optimize care, promote prevention efforts, and train local social workers and counselors in evidence-based practice. As a VISTA for our ADAMH Board you will assist in building the capacity of the Fairfield County Opiate Task Force, as well as the Fairfield County Suicide Prevention Coalition through participating in grant work, organizing trainings and organizing data. By attending board meetings as well as participating in the many public committee meetings, you will become acquainted with a small rural community and learn about issues of behavioral health in Fairfield County. We are looking for hard-working, motivated people with some college education, though having an undergraduate degree is preferred.
