PCCE- Cabrini University (Martha's Farm)

*Applicant will need to provide Covid-19 vaccine documentation* Cabrini University is proud of its mission to “educate the heart.” Our goal in this program is to help establish a connection between the Latinx community and the multiple available relief and advancement programs already established within the Norristown community. This project is an evolution of a long-standing partnership between Cabrini University and Martha’s Choice Marketplace, a food pantry operated by Catholic Charities of Philadelphia. Previous collaborations focused on volunteer staffing of the market, or minor projects developed by Pierce Fellows. The new initiative through Martha’s Farm offers an opportunity for deeper integration of Cabrini and Martha’s programming to leverage resources for transformative impact on the community, not only related to food insecurity and hunger, but on greater environmental engagement, mental health promotion, and community civic empowerment.
