Rural Health Development and Anti-Hunger VISTA - Dayton

Northern Nevada welcomes you in serving the needs of rural Nevada including Dayton and surrounding areas. We are eager to meet enthusiastic, motivated, and community-minded people to join our team! While we will provide plenty of guidance and support, we also value innovation and creativity for accomplishing our mission to grow healthy, sustainable communities. The Rural Health VISTA member will develop tools and partnerships that can be used to build pathways to resources for people who are food insecure. For example, the VISTA member will organize training opportunities for local residents to help them find their place in the food system, and collaborate with farmers and cottage food producers to develop tools and strategies for promoting local foods.
