Brown University Communications and Public Engagement VISTA

The Brown University AmeriCorps VISTA Fellowship is a full-time service opportunity hosted through the Swearer Center at Brown University. Founded by Brown University President, Howard R. Swearer, The Swearer Center for Public Service is a community of scholars, students, practitioners, and community members that work together to build on community strengths and address community challenges. Through the creative capacities of our students, faculty, and community partners we explore, build, and implement collaborative and strategic projects, programs, and initiatives. Our work yields transformative learning and positive sustainable change through collective action. Interested applicants are matched with a local partner organization, state agency, or Swearer Center department to build capacity in organizations fighting poverty. These agencies work in the education, health, arts and/or economic justice sector.
