Member Duties : The VISTA will work during the school year to:
- Promote the program in the community through traditional & social media efforts;
- Increase communications with families;
- Implement creative strategies for fiscal sustainability: grant writing and reporting, event planning and donor cultivation/stewardship;
- Develop systems for communicating/sharing information with partner schools;
- Coordinate host school parent & student volunteer opportunities;
- Use data currently being collected to tell additional stories of our impact;
- Scope opportunities for collaborative relationships with complimentary service providers, associations, or organizations.
During the summer the VISTA will:
- Increase community awareness through marketing;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an orientation, training & support program for youth volunteers;
- Coordinate special events;
- Collect, compile, and present assessment data and feedback from program constituents.
