GIRLPowR Nebraska Club Coordinator
 
 
 
GIRLPowR, Inc. is a Lincoln-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls by reducing barriers to their equal participation in formal education, and fostering girls’ self-worth, socioeconomic independence, leadership potential and vocational opportunities. GIRLPowR’s domestic education and empowerment programs for pre-adolescent and adolescent girls are delivered locally in collaboration with Lincoln Public Schools, Community Learning Centers, Lincoln Parks and Recreation, Bright Lights and other summer enrichment camps. The GIRLPowR Club Coordinator will help build the capacity for the delivery of GIRLPowR services by building club capacities and practices that will sustain and prepare the organization for long-term unforeseen changes in delivery and adaptation of GP programs and curriculum, as with the current COVID-19 pandemic circumstances pivot to virtual clubs. These duties will include: reformatting all lesson plans to furnish online presentations and resources, researching current and relevant topics and expansion of lesson plans; reevaluate and adapt current lesson plans to ensure cultural sensitivity and inclusion, with special consideration for the immigrant and refugee populations served, refine GP club participant online registration form and ensure accessibility for families, collect participant data in a timely manner and collaborate with Program Development Coordinator regarding collection and reporting methods; lead training sessions for new teachers, provide site specific training for teachers including shadowing and co-facilitation of clubs; mentor club teachers and maintain regular communication via email and phone communication; develop new, age-appropriate, classroom behavioral training material; act as the liaison between GP and site coordinators; cultivate community partner relationship and stay up to date with their policies and procedures; assist with coordination of GP Club guest speakers and field trips.

Member Duties : GIRLPowR Nebraska Club Coordinator prepares the program activities and coordination of after-school and weekend clubs and summer camps under the supervision of the Executive Director. Coordinator will assist with research and development of curriculum materials, Build new community partnerships, including potential growth in rural areas; Ensures prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives, licensing/accrediting standards, government regulations, organization policy, and procedures; Facilitates and conducts club/camp teacher communication, training and regular meetings; Monitors all site reports and surveys and manage data collection system; Utilize Google Suite to maintain documents, contacts, spreadsheets and additional meeting minutes with Site Directors and School Community Coordinators and Partners; Prepares program and progress reports for the Executive Director.
