St Vincent de Paul Peer Support Development Coordinator
 
 
 
St Vincent de Paul of Lane County is Lane County’s largest nonprofit human services organization. Founded in 1953, SVDP helps more than 84,000 individuals and families each year with emergency and homeless services, and affordable housing. St. Vincent de Paul is committed to providing comprehensive programs to alleviate poverty and help all individuals find a path out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. SVDP has developed over 1400 units of affordable housing, operates 15 charitable stores and other recycling programs, and provides a wide range of shelter and emergency services to prevent and end homelessness for all people. The Youth and Family Services Department of SVdP provides critical assistance to children and their families experiencing housing instability in Lane County. The Youth and Family Services Department consists of First Place Family Center, First Place Kids, the Annex Overnight Shelter for families, and the Youth House. First Place Family Center is a day center program for families with children ages 0-18 located in Eugene, Oregon. First Place gives crucial assistance and support to families who are in crisis due to homelessness, job loss, health issues, or other critical problems. Services help meet families' immediate needs as well as help to promote self-sufficiency which include free showers, laundry, food, onsite drop-in preschool, access to computers and more. The Annex is an emergency family shelter and provides a host of services that help families obtain housing and remain stably housed. . The Youth House is an innovative transitional housing program for people ages 16-18 who identify as female and who are homeless. This program provides comprehensive services to support teens as they complete their high school education and work towards wellness, vocational, and financial goals. The City of Eugene is located in the lush Willamette Valley, and offers a wide variety of entertainments and outdoor activities.

Member Duties : The Peer Support Development Associate will research funding opportunities and work with the St Vincent de Paul of Lane County Development Department to research and apply for relevant grants, and work with the Youth and Family Services Department Director to identify funding available through Medicaid and Oregon Health Plan.
