Full Circle FarmCorps Service Member - Jan 2021

Full Circle FarmCorps was designed to fill the need in the state of Arkansas for addressing hunger through garden support, community engagement, and nutrition education. The program began in 2019-2020 under the St. Joseph Center of Arkansas, an independent historic nonprofit farm in North Little Rock. The Arkansas Resource Conservation and Development Council (ARC&D) became the sponsoring organization of the program in 2020-2021. The ARC&D concept is that local communities, all levels of government, and grassroots organizations can together develop and implement solutions that help sustain communities, economies, and natural resources. Full Circle FarmCorps is looking for AmeriCorps Service Members to serve 1200 hours over an 8-month commitment from January through August at service sites in the central and western regions of the state. For those of you not from Arkansas, come on down! Collectively, your service will contribute to an outcome of 195 individuals demonstrating increased health knowledge. Service will be physically, emotionally, and intellectually challenging, which will demand persistence, compassion, and commitment to service! This is a robust 1200-hour position that runs January through August, for an average 38 hours a week. Successful AmeriCorps Service Members are eligible for a living allowance of $10,112.00 and an education award of $4336.50.
