Serve Wisconsin manages the initiative that engages AmeriCorps VISTA members to address poverty related to racial disparity throughout the state of Wisconsin by focusing on building the economic opportunity for the communities of Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, and Native American. The member will assist with, research, outreach, and community engagement. The member will work with the GLITC Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) to preserve the oral traditions of tribal elders and assist in the distribution of this information with tribal Youth programs.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will assist with increasing the resources provided to Native American organizations and identify diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices throughout these organizations and communities through research, outreach, and community engagement. They will also assist in the development of a data collection program of oral stories, traditions, and cultural activities to be used as teaching tools for tribal youth to preserve and sustain tribal history and culture through developing a plan of action, creating a sustainable model utilizing Tribal Youth Programs, and complete a virtual program. **Interviews are done on a rolling basis. Please submit application as soon as possible to ensure consideration. Selection may be made before deadline date posted.**
