Bringing Recovery Home - North Royalton

Ellsworth Acres is committed to helping our residents in recovery learn how they can: heal their self-worth, be productive members of society and give back to their community and peers. Our training program aims to foster residents with tangible skills that are transferable to a multitude of employment opportunities in the larger world. Our residents work directly with the produce from the infant stages all the way to the marketplace. Additionally, we work with chickens and in the kitchen developing recipes from what we grow. We encourage all residents to find their passion in life and pursue their dreams and we look forward to watching them grow. The member will be empowered to learn all aspects of the recovery house and training program. The time will be divided between working directly with the trainees, staff, director and individually. Over the course of the year the member will attend trainings with the residents in various agriculture trainings as well as recovery focused events to fully embrace experience. The member will attend a variety of meetings and trainings with the Executive Director. The goal is for the member to develop relationships throughout the county and state for the future of the VISTA. Leadership development is a key component for the trainees of the program and will be emphasized for the member to support future dreams. You will gain the experience of running an organization from top to bottom over the course of the year. Ellsworth Acres is part of an incredible community of support. We are fortunate to work with people and organizations in many ways, that allow us to provide the education and support we are so committed to. We hope you choose to become part of our team. Where roots grasp new soil is the goal of our residents and hopefully you too!
