VISTA Volunteer Recruitment
 
 
 
Junior Achievement is looking for VISTA members in Arkansas to increase access to VISTA programming. Our goal is to ensure K12 students receive work force skills, financial literacy training and entrepreneurship education. This is a virtual position for 30 hours per a week. Members will establish a volunteer outreach plan around 12 schools to ensure volunteer growth and retention, and build a partnership with community organizations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, superior project management skills are a must! The ability to both be comfortable with diverse groups and also to make them feel comfortable is ideal. This 12 month project beginning in August 2022 and ending August 2023 will offer you an opportunity to create a vast network of people who can all work together to make your community better for the future. Member Duties : The VISTA member will help fight poverty with youth living in impoverished communities by equipping young people with financial literacy and work force-readiness training. This hands-on training will give students the tools for success, promote social mobility and bring them and their families out of poverty. Member will establish an volunteer outreach plan for 12 schools - ensure volunteer growth and retention-build partnerships with community organizations- responsible for marketing and successful recruitment of the program -prepare and present presentations via civic clubs-develop a volunteer recognition around our largest fundraiser-create a yearly volunteer and cultivation program -train volunteers - match volunteers to schools
