Member Duties : Daily tasks include assisting the crew supervisor with preparation, leadership, and wrap-up; organizing and communicating work assignments to crew members; tracking materials; and ensuring safety procedures are followed on every site. Members perform construction tasks such as carpentry, concrete work, roofing, siding, painting, tiling, landscaping, fencing, demolition, and cleanup, while modeling professionalism, reliability, and teamwork. They operate power and hand tools, maintain clean and safe work areas and equipment, and help teammates learn proper methods and skills. Additional duties include attending trainings, completing accurate and timely reports, and representing AmeriCorps and NEWESD 101 positively. Members also document project activities through photos, stories, and videos, and actively participate in leadership development opportunities and national service days, fostering community engagement.
