25-26 Museum of Natural History Education and Outreach Coor

This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding an open until filled. The Puget Sound Museum of Natural History is located at the University of Puget Sound. We provide resources for environmental science education and research. We aim to inspire interest in the local and global community. Currently, many elementary students perform below average on science assessments. This is because they lack access to natural science instruction. We address this by partnering with local schools to provide training, resources, and programming in schools. The member will deliver instruction in a classroom setting. They will also collaborate with educators and the community to make sure our programs meet standard and reach new community members. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews immediately. Monthly stipend amount: $2,571.
