This role supports Sabin CDC’s sustainability goals by leading and mentoring AmeriCorps members and coordinating community events like Pass-It-On Days and Furnish-A-Change. The member promotes resident involvement in environmental initiatives and develops educational materials on climate resilience, regenerative landscaping, and energy efficiency. They assist with program planning, data collection, and reporting to measure impact. Working closely with Sabin staff and community partners, the member helps align sustainability efforts and build strong collaborations for lasting community engagement.

Member Duties : Leadership & Team Support: Provide leadership and mentorship to other AmeriCorps members, guiding their work and offering support as needed. Event & Program Coordination: Coordinate sustainability-focused community events such as Pass-It-On Days and Furnish-A-Change and Promote resident involvement in livability and environmental initiatives Education & Outreach: Develop and distribute educational materials on regenerative landscaping and energy efficiency and strengthen community understanding of climate resilience and sustainable living practices Program Planning & Reporting: Support planning and evaluation for programs like Service Learning in Portland and Assist with data collection and reporting to track program outcomes Collaboration & Partnership Building: Work closely with Sabin staff and community partners to align on sustainability goals and identify new opportunities for collaboration and community engagement
