VISTA Grants and Research Associate
 
 
 
The Grants Associate will support the Development Department by assisting with research and identifying suitable grants and foundation opportunities, developing grant proposals, editing grant narratives, and assembling all pertinent attachments for grant proposal submission. Will develop knowledge of The Salvation Army programs, assist the Grants Manager in gathering information for follow-up reports, and update the grants management database.

Member Duties : 1. Proofread or edited grant narratives 2. Assist in preparing and assembling proposals and applications 3. Monitor select websites and publications for funding-related information 4. Update grant tracking schedule 5. Train for and develop comfort working with an online donor database 6. Write content letters, success stories, and fact sheets 7. Perform administrative duties such as filing, preparing lists of potential funders, researching and updating information, and preparing correspondence and mailings 8. Other duties as assigned
