Member Duties : The Water Quality Specialist 1 supports Pierce Conservation District’s work to increase knowledge of watershed health and impact positive behavior change. They will plan and lead habitat stewardship activities in collaboration with volunteers; collect water samples for monitoring and compile lab results for reporting; support stream-side residence to remove invasive species and add habitat boosting native plants; write for existing publications and update website content; create digital media such as videos and GIS story maps; participate in environmental professionals’ networks; design educational materials and lesson plans to promote conservation and water quality behaviors—especially targeting youth.
