22-23 World Relief Spokane Volunteer & Event Specialist
 
 
 
World Relief Spokane is a non-profit organization that serves refugees and other vulnerable immigrants with a variety of service. The office works with these program participants from their first day in the United States for many years to come as they adjust to life in America. This position is responsible to further our vision of a flourishing, multi-cultural community in our region by developing events to engage the refugee community. Part of the role will be working with volunteers to create events for clients. The office will be interviewing applicants in August with the hope of starting in September.

Member Duties : The focus of this role is to envision, create and lead execution of events that support the mission of World Relief Spokane, including but not limited to refugee community classes and appreciation events. The member will collaborate with the Friendship Center manager to create events that meet the needs of the community and promote economic opportunity. They will communicate with community partners about activities and fundraisers through meetings, phone calls and emails, and will also collaborate with Communications Coordinator on promotional materials needed for events and outreach.
