2025 YouthBuild Donor Relations Coordinator VISTA- Compton

Compton YouthBuild, operated by EntreNous Youth Empowerment Services, provides young adults ages 16–24 with education, job training, and leadership development to break cycles of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency. Participants earn their high school diplomas or equivalent while gaining hands-on construction and career skills, engaging in community service, and building the confidence to thrive in college, vocational training, or the workforce. Through academic support, life-skills coaching, and strong community partnerships, Compton YouthBuild empowers opportunity youth to become leaders and positive changemakers in their neighborhoods. The AmeriCorps VISTA will strengthen EntreNous’ fundraising capacity by creating sustainable donor management and engagement systems. Duties include building and maintaining donor portfolios in Bloomerang, conducting regular outreach to donors and prospects, and developing tools to track and prioritize engagement. The member will establish consistent stewardship practices such as personalized acknowledgments, quarterly staff reviews, and detailed next-step plans for each donor. They will also plan and document donor events—like industry talks, advisory committees, and appreciation gatherings—creating templates, timelines, and metrics to ensure events are replicable and impactful. By documenting all processes, training staff, and integrating data into platforms like Trello and Bloomerang, the VISTA will leave a lasting infrastructure for tracking donor relationships, measuring outcomes, and sustaining long-term fundraising success.
