Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) empowers young people to overcome barriers through free, high-quality programs and personalized support in a safe, nurturing environment. Guided by our core values—Respect, Responsibility, Support, Positive Communication, and Inclusion—HOLA serves over 3,100 youth annually with academic support, music and arts education, athletics, wellness, and family services including case management, counseling, and therapy. The Community Outreach & Engagement VISTA plays a key role in boosting program visibility, strengthening community partnerships, and improving internal systems for outreach, enrollment, and family engagement. This position is perfect for a creative communicator and relationship-builder passionate about community-centered work. Member Duties : The VISTA at Heart of Los Angeles will be part of the 2025–26 Coach Across America VISTA cohort of 53 members. The Community Outreach and Engagement VISTA will help expand HOLA’s impact by strengthening community partnerships, improving family engagement, and increasing program visibility. They will support content creation, coordinate outreach events, and identify new collaborators. The VISTA will also improve internal systems by streamlining intake forms, developing outreach toolkits, and maintaining tracking systems—enhancing communication and supporting long-term program growth.
