AAMU Funding Specialist/Opiod Abuse Educator

Increase awareness of opioid use and abuse, poverty, obesity and healthy living in our community 2. Increase conversations in the community about abuse, poverty, and obesity 3. Assist with ongoing efforts to increase Covid-19 vaccination rates among AAMU students and the community 4. Assist with ongoing efforts to decrease opioid abuse on AAMU campus and to 5. Assist with ongoing efforts to decrease obesity in Madison County.

Member Duties : Assist in researching and determining grant funding to support projects; Assist in organizing and implement fundraising efforts, Assist in creating an Opioid Educational team on campus, Assist with writing and proofreading grants; Assist with locating funding sources for community agencies; Assist with campus -wide programming events and volunteer recruitment activities
