MLK Sr. Collaborative Marketing /Community Outreach Coordina

Martin Luther King Sr. Community Resources Complex (the Complex), a three-story 29,342 square feet and 1,700 person occupancy multi-purpose community resources building. The Complex is designed as a living memorial to the legacy of Reverend Martin Luther King Sr. continuing his life's work of service to humanity regardless of race, creed and gender. This Complex is answering the call of the Old Fourth Ward and Sweet Auburn communities with local social service resources helping them solve some of the problems of the living poor and improving the quality of life in the community at large through an active, effective and credible social and family support network. (Poverty threshold- individuals or families experiencing "hardships" due to the economy and are at or below 200% of the poverty level as stated by the Federal Poverty Guidelines). This endeavor aligns with the AmeriCorps VISTA focus to build organization, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic development, and otherwise assist low-income communities.
