AmeriCorps NCCC provides you with valuable life experience and skill development while you serve on a team with fellow 18-24 year olds, earn money for college, travel the U.S., and help communities! Background: AmeriCorps NCCC (the National Civilian Community Corps) provides you with valuable life experience and skill development while you serve on a team with fellow 18-24 year olds, earn money for college, travel the U.S., and help communities! The mission of AmeriCorps NCCC is to strengthen communities and develop leaders through team-based national and community service. Here is what you can expect during your service: -Serve full-time for 10 months -Join a team of 8-12 young adults -Be assigned to one of our 4 regional campuses -Deploy to 4-6 projects across the country (transportation provided) Next steps: - Complete an application by clicking the “Apply Now!” button below. Member Duties : You will perform direct, hands-on service in the areas of natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development. You could be doing anything from building a house to running a youth summer program, so openness to new experiences is key! You’ll also undergo intensive training at the beginning of your service to prepare you for the adventure ahead and take on leadership roles and specialized assignments along the way. Learn and grow with a team of your peers and build lasting connections.
