P4K is a youth mentoring organization that is committed to helping youth in our community build and maintain foundations for success. Through our partnership with Omaha Public Schools and several area colleges and universities we teach kids and young adults that through goal setting, education and the right resources there is no limit to what they can achieve. We don’t stop there either! P4K is constantly expanding our relationships with area businesses to provide our students access to career exploration, internships, and even job opportunities. Member Duties : This position will provide career advising and retention support to high school post-secondary scholarship students to increase persistence, graduation rates and job placement. Other responsibilities include helping youth reach academic success through case management and coordination of events and program supports. • Facilitate curriculum workshops in areas of career development and job readiness • Assist students with the development of resumes, cover letters and soft skill development • Facilitate curriculum workshops in areas of career development and job readiness • Assist students with the development of resumes, cover letters and soft skill development • Help coordinate job shadows and internship opportunities for college students • Provide case management and retention support for caseload students utilizing academic improvement plans • Help coordinate laptop lending library for college student success
