Communications Specialist VISTA - Trinidad
 
 
 
The VISTA project will build the capacity of GSN to reach outside students and parents through social media as well as public relations and presentation materials. The main areas of focus will be on: 1. Networking, Marketing and Social Media Communications. 2. Use social media platforms for communication between schools and community members and create or revise policies, procedures, and strategies to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of communications. 3. Help reach a broader audience with clear communication about its programming by developing and editing marketing and presentation materials such as newsletters, flyers, information packets, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations. 4. Engage the community will help schools provide more supports to students, helping them succeed in the following areas: academic preparedness, college and career readiness, and health and wellness.

Member Duties : 1.Use social media platforms for communication between schools and community members and create or revise policies, procedures, and strategies to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of communications. 2. Expanding and strengthening social media communications in the Trinidad area. 3. Reach students,students,and schools with clear communication by developing and editing marketing and presentation materials such as newsletters, flyers, career pathways information, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations. 4. Create an activity log to track social media communications and participation. 5. Assist with the monthly newsletter by writing/editing articles, providing pictures,and collecting staff input. 6. Develop a strategy and implementation to best use social media to support the needs of the organization and partnering school districts.
