2017 New Americans in Brooklyn and Queens

Catholic Migration Services is a service location of the CCUSA New Americans VISTA Program. Since 1971, Catholic Migration Services has been welcoming the stranger and providing civil legal services and case management to meet the needs of low-income New Americans in Brooklyn and Queens. These services include assistance in obtaining citizenship, representation on housing issues (e.g. evictions or landlord harassment), workers rights, and community workshops. Catholic Migration Services, through the CCUSA New Americans VISTA Program, will utilize the VISTA to garner more volunteers and donations, helping to expand the number of clients served and make the Brooklyn and Queen areas more welcoming to New Americans.
