Nevada Statewide Coalition Partnership AmeriCorps Program
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps member(s) will provide assist with the coordination/leading financial classes and connect community members to appropriate resources. The member will provide financial literacy education to low-income individuals at the community-level or school setting. Members will partner with local agencies to develop relevant curriculum based upon the needs of the community. Junior Achievement's personal finance curriculum will be taught by AmeriCorps members. The member will partner with local workforce program(s) in order to engage community members in establishing career goals and developing necessary skills in order to secure employment with adequate income for personal sustainability.

Member Duties : Community Opportunity Worker(COW) of financial literacy will assist with coordination/leading financial classes, connect community member(s), low-income individuals to resources at community or school level. Members will partner with local agencies, develop curriculum based on needs of the community. The COW is 300 hours half-time(32hr./wk.) Living Allowance of $2,700($540.00 Gross, 5th and 20th ea. month). Eli Segal Education Award of $1230.69 upon completion of service.
