Digital Capacity and Parent Engagement Specialist

We encourage you to apply to become an AmeriCorps VISTA member with Turning the Page, a dynamic organization providing parents in D.C. public schools with critical skills and educational resources to become more active and effective participants in their children’s education. At this uncertain time, Turning the Page’s role in supporting at-home learning, stronger parent-teacher relationships, and parent leadership is more important than ever. Our VISTA members this coming year will play an integral role in ensuring that Turning the Page has the capacity to continue to provide this critical service to parents and families in D.C. as they transition back to school and/or continue remote learning. AmeriCorps VISTA members at TTP participate in activities across TTP and receive valuable experience on how non-profits work. This year in particular will provide VISTA members with a new skill-set that will provide you with many career choices. TTP VISTA members have gone on to teach, have earned varied positions at nonprofits and have entered many graduate programs.
