Serving with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA will give you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, motivated corps. Serving with Campus Compact AmeriCorps provides the chance to build capacity for local organizations, connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and trainings throughout their service year. Start dates are determined by host sites and are either June 17th, July 15th or August 12th. Member Duties : Campus Compact VISTAs work in higher education settings across 16 states, providing capacity building services to improve outcomes for low-income individuals across all AmeriCorps focus areas. VISTA members complete projects that help expand the scope and reach of an organization. Projects range from building on campus food pantries with Bonner Scholars at Wagner College in Staten Islands, NY; to developing processes for adult learners to attain educational goals with Wilbur Wright College in Chicago; to tracking the impacts of a youth-led project addressing climate change at the community level with Stanford University and Climate Resilient Comunities in San Mateo, CA.
