DCBOH PH Workforce - Patient Navigator
 
 
 
DeKalb County Board of Health (DCBOH) Public Health Workforce Initiative aims to increase the public health workforce by providing opportunities for learning experiences and on-the-job training to advance more equitable health outcomes for underserved communities in DeKalb County, Georgia. Members will work with DCBOH’s program staff to learn how to manage and operate public health-related programs that will help meet communities’ public health needs by providing capacity, support, and increased awareness of COVID-19 testing and vaccinations. The members’ roles and responsibilities will focus on community engagement, health promotion, support, and direct services. This is a three quarter-time position, living allowance of $13,110.00, 1200 hours during the service year, 25 to 30 hours per week, and a college graduate is required.

Member Duties : Members will work with DCBOH’s program staff to learn how to manage and operate public health-related programs that will help meet communities’ public health needs by promoting preventive care, providing emotional support, educating, and assisting in locating community treatment center, and case management.
