WSU AmeriCorps: Children First Coordinator
 
 
 
Children First: CEO Kansas Inc. is a 501(c)(3) social service non-profit organization in Wichita, Kansas, with a mission to support students to feel safe and empowered, so they can learn and thrive, by staying in school and achieving in life. The AmeriCorps Coordinator will support the work of the Children First social service program to improve the education of low-income students by administering the Resource Program, searching out new grants, working with local health care, or helping in the garden and garden program.

Member Duties : 1) Recruit volunteers for back-to-school event. 2) Assist and coordinate volunteers for back-to-school event. 3) Recruit volunteers for Chirstmas event. 4) Assist and coordinate volunteers for Christmas event. 5) Participate in Getting Ahead Classes 6) Develop housing resource guide. 7) Research Grants 8) Work in Garden 9) Health Care Support
