WSU VISTA - KS Nonprofit Chamber Development Coordinator
 
 
 
The Kansas Nonprofit Chamber is seeking a VISTA Development Coordinator. This is an exciting role that will work to help us increase our revenue and launch new programs, services and co-working space. If you are entrepreneurial, enjoy launching new initiatives, then this might be just the job for your. We need someone who is outgoing, good at connecting with others and building relationships, organized, has great technology skills, able to work on your own and with teams, willing to ask for donations and able to write grants. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good research skills will also help you to succeed in this role. We also hope you want to learn a lot about nonprofit organizations and how to help them succeed and become sustainable because that's our mission. You will have the opportunity to meet new people in the community, make some great connections, and attend lots of training, because we not only want you to help build us, we want to help build you up as well. We are centrally located in downtown Wichita, and easy walk or drive to lots of great restaurants and other activities. We provide a flexible work schedule and casual work environment and at least 10 holidays. Did I mention you will have your own desk and share an office with another VISTA?

Member Duties : Conduct research to identify grants, sponsorship levels, potential sponsors, donors, funders and potential revenue sources. Create and implement fundraising and sponsorship plans. Develop solicitations, promotions and print or electronic collateral used for marketing. Write grants, letters, newsletters, and emails. Develop timelines to implement plans, programs or services. Create policies for co-working space and other programs and services. Work with and engaging the community to develop partnerships and increase collaboration. Participate in development and launch of new programs, services and membership benefits. Work to recruit participants for co-working space and meeting space. Assist with management of social media, email marketing and databases. Participate with committees and other work groups. Attend functions, trainings and meetings and represent the Kansas Nonprofit Chamber. Recruit members for co-working space.
