WSU AmeriCorps Fellow: Legacy CoffeeWorks Associate
 
 
 
The 2021 CoffeeWorks Assistant position offers experience in coffee education and management skills. Through this position, the Americorps volunteer will assist the CoffeeWorks director in training youth workers, overseeing roast production, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Through this position, the AmeriCorps volunteer will gain experience in coffee roasting and sale with an additional focus on providing intervention and prevention for teens from hard places, cycles of poverty, foster care, and youth residential facilities. LegacyCreative has an overarching commitment to providing creative arts opportunities and community to teens in youth placement facilities, foster care, and the surrounding communities. It also works through Legacy Outreach, which partners with local youth residential facilities once a month and Legacy Camp, where youth from residential facilities, foster care, and the surrounding neighborhoods participate in a five-day creative camp.
