AmeriCorps Peak Pathfinder YouthPower365

YouthPower365 invites you to impact the lives of hundreds of local youth through an amazing year of AmeriCorps service in Eagle County, Colorado. AmeriCorps members will serve as student success coaches, or Peak Pathfinders, for the youth of Eagle County. Peak Pathfinders is a project of YouthPower365, a youth-serving 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 1997 with a mission to provide programs that help youth reach their full potential. Eagle County Schools, a district of 6,600 students grades K-12, is home to a diverse student population, with 52% of students identifying as LatinX. Spanish is widely spoken, and nearly all Eagle County Schools instruct in both English and Spanish. Peak Pathfinders will serve in one of the public schools in Eagle County from August 12, 2024 through July 25, 2025. Individuals will serve differing daytime hours, five days a week: during the school day, afterschool, and in the evenings. Individuals will provide mentoring, intervention, tutoring, and wrap around supports for students and their families to address the academic and social-emotional impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Four days a week will be spent supporting students and families and one day will be spent on professional development, including enrolling in a credited college course, to prepare members to have the most impact where they serve and to prepare them for a future career in youth development.
