AHEC-Project Developent and Outreach Specialist
 
 
 
The Workforce Development/Mission Services Department within Goodwill- West Texas in Abilene, TX aims to serve individuals who face barriers to employment. The Community Outreach Specialist will focus on developing relationships and partnerships with local businesses, employers, and nonprofit organizations to serve the clients of the Career Center. In addition to, building the capacity and sustainability of the Career Center to better serve the West Texas communities in providing job training, skill development, job placement, and job retention.

Member Duties : The Program Development and Outreach Specialist will develop the sustainability of a tracking system of open jobs, potential job leads, and current placements at each partner business or employer through Goodwill of West Texas. In addition to, VISTA will develop partnerships and mutually benefit relationships with nonprofit organizations to establish a referral base for the Career Center.
