A Place Called Home Development Associate

A Place Called Home is a safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being; and are inspired to make a meaningful difference in their community and the world. The Development Associate will assist in revenue generation efforts of the Development Department to include prospecting for institutional and federal grants, applying for grants, and social media giving. In addition, the Development Associate will also play an active role in the preparing and implementing the capital campaign that the Department will begin this year in order to develop an additional facility so that APCH can increase the number it serves in this community.

Member Duties : Prospect for new institutional and government grants on behalf of APCH; Apply for grants on behalf of APCH; Assist the Development Department in a capital campaign to develop new facility space; Assist in the creation and implementation of a Social Media Strategic Plan; Increase APCH's internet presence through social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter; Work with the Development Department to find innovative ways to facilitate online giving and giving at APCH fundraising events; Assist in the creation of a Salesforce user and training manual; Research funders for APCH's capital campaign; Assist with planning and implementing fundraising events
